HistoryThe S2 Architecture practice was first established in 1993. The founding partners Robert Spaetgens and David Symons had been working together prior to 1993 as senior project architects in a major architectural practice in Calgary. In fact, Bob and Dave were classmates and roommates in university. Their longtime professional association and friendship of over 30 years has had a major influence on the strength, stability and sustainability of the firm. S2 is currently comprised of six partners, whom actively participate and lead our projects. Each partner brings individual talents and expertise to the firm and their combined experience stretches across all building types and sectors of the building industry and results in a strong, cohesive partnership. |

Our design process strives for architectural excellence through providing unique solutions tailored to our clients' requirements while enriching and contributing to the built environment. S2 designs an impressive variety of building types and sizes from small school building modernizations to urban mixed-use projects in excess of $300 million dollars. |
